This didn't turn out color wise like I had wanted it to! It was supposed to be a lighter green on top, still smells great!

So I thought I'd post a bunch of my soaps. I haven't soaped for around a year. This place seems pretty dead which is sad, is anyone still soapin'? :)

| Green tea and Rose. |
[20 Jan 2009|02:30pm] |
I made two new soaps last night. This morning I unmolded them and cut them into bars. The pink one is rose and the brown/green one is green tea but I didn't use a scented oil, just tea bags so it's barely noticeable. I think I am going to reuse the green tea one to make a layered soap instead because the color is really crappy. I didn't think it would turn brown... but oh well.

| Just pulled this one out of the oven... |

Well, not really! But I did use a cake pan as a mold and it looks good enough to eat. My third soap that I've rebatched. Originally was just plain with coffee grounds inside, so I grated it up and only heated it through so it was still a little chunky. I added Honey Almond fragrance mixed with a little Clove, which really doesn't mix well with the way it looks but I ran out of scents!! Today when I went to unmold it I discovered that it actually smells quite good, so I am happy with it! Very earthy with a chocolate overcast.

| Peppermint. |
[10 Dec 2008|02:25pm] |
This is a re-batch from one of my first batches of soap. I wanted to add color and more of a fragrance. I wanted it to be red, like peppermint candies, but it turned out this hot pink/magenta color. I don’t hate it, but I don’t like it. I can never get my soap a “true” red. Any suggestions?

| Lavender. |
[10 Dec 2008|02:22pm] |
This is my first re-batch. I’ve never done it before and I was kind of scared to do it. I used milk instead of water. I didn’t like the way these bars came out the first time because it was my first soap and it was oddly shaped. Just grated it up, added more scent, color, and now I’m happy!

| Banana Nut Bread |
[10 Dec 2008|02:08pm] |
This soap is Banana Nut Bread scented, it is made with goats milk. The goats milk burned though which is probably why the soap is a darker color. I did add yellow color to it.
